Camlin Italy srl, conceives and develops intelligent embedded systems for the acquisition and processing of information, operating mainly in the fields on artificial intelligence, computer vision, audio and signal processing.  

 

The newly appointed Computer Vision Application Developers will work with an existing team in developing our multimodal systems which operate in multiple sectors, such as environmental and structural monitoring, predictive maintenance of railway’s assets (e.g. Trains) and industrial plants, advanced embedded visual-acoustic processing, human-machine interfaces, intelligent transportation.  

Candidates for this position will become part of the Computer Vision team in CAMLIN Italy srl, working in international public and industrial research projects.  

The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate with existing teams to design and develop, applications in Computer Vision using the leading edge technologies in the field.   


Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate with existing teams to design and develop, applications in Computer Vision using the leading edge technologies in the field.   


• Design and implement software micro-services in C/C++/Python 

• Prototyping and implementing solutions for extracting information from imagery 

• Collaborate with cross-functional hardware and software teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa 

• Evaluate, analyze and optimize system resources related to image processing, computer vision and machine learning 

• Activity reporting to the Technical Lead 


Required Criteria

• Master degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or other relevant technical field (PhD is a plus).  

• 3+ years professional experience. 

• Experience with perception/vision libraries, (e.g. OpenCV or PCL ) 

• Solid fundamentals in Image processing, Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition 

• Experience with deep learning (CNNs) 

• Excellent problem solving skills 

• Excellent communication skills 

• Team player 

• Self motivated 

• Good communication skills in English. 


Desired Criteria

• Experience in Machine Vision sensors and Smart Cameras 

• Experience in 3D reconstruction techniques and object detection 

• Experience in OpenCL an/or GPU code optimization  

• Experience with SIMD programming optimization on x86 architecture.   

• Experience with GitLab, Git Flow and JIRA+Agile methodology.
